So I went snowboarding for the very first time in 21 years of Utah living on Saturday up at Park City. Can I just say I was deathly sore for about 4 days after.... Mike tried to teach me to go down the hill one way, and was unsuccessful. Turns out I'm goofy and needed to go down with my right foot first. That was much better! Except he told me to dig in with my heels, which I did, but them I fell and hit my head and I was done after that. We went to the lodge and relaxed and watched the snow fall. We had a great time, and I'm pretty sure Mike enjoyed watching me fall. Even though I'm definitely not a winter person, and I don't enjoy hurdling quickly down a mountain, I'm excited to try the boarding thing again! I'm determined to get good at it!
Entries of my adventure to becoming my best self. The bumps in the road, the successes, & everything in between. Join me on my adventure!

Weekend Adventures!
Mike and I went and saw Alice in Wonderland over the weekend! I loved it! We went with our friends Matt, Abby, and ETR. Double date + 1! haha. Before the movie, we went to dinner at Noodles with Matt and Abby; delicious! Anyway, back to the movie: I am a huge Disney, Tim Burton, Johnny Depp, and Helena Bonham Carter fan, so I knew I was bound to love this movie- however, I loved it much more than I expected! It was fun and brought a new spin to the loveable Alice story. I regret to say the only part about the movie I didn't like as much was Johnny Depp. Don't get me wrong, he is my favorite actor, but I didn't feel like he brought anything new to the character. To me, he was a mix of Willy Wonka and Jack Sparrow. I didn't feel like he was the Mad Hatter-if that makes sense. All in all though, I enjoyed the movie (oh and we even saw it in 3d...lots of fun!)
After the movie, Abby, Matt, and I did our secret project that I like to call, "secrets". It consisted of delivering secret goodies to those of whom cannot be named. Sadly they weren't home so we didn't get to have the satisfaction of knowing they were home. But hey, what can ya do? I've really enjoyed this secret business of ours because 1) I love doing service and such kind acts for people. (especially when I know they don't like me...haha) and 2) it's been fun to know I get to hang out with 2 of my best friends at least once a week. We have been having a lot of fun with this the past few weeks.
My last weekend adventure (that I would actually care to remember), was I made cheesecake for my family on Sunday! I was a little nervous because I made the recipe up in my head! Don't worry, it turned out pretty darn good if I may say so myself. I'm still trying to decide what I am going to tackle next....brownie cheesecake? Or maybe something completely different...we'll see!
