wedding tips/deals
it's been awhile. i'm a married woman now. and we had a perfect wedding day! i had a lot of people ask me how i kept the cost of the wedding down so well, so i decided i will share some of my good deals.
i wanted my wedding day to reflect me and my husband. i wanted it to be nice, but fun.
deal 1 was my wedding dress. I got it for $80! and no, I'm not missing some 0's. I got it from Bridal Expressions 2 http://www.discountweddingdressesutah.com/
we had our invitations made by: beautiful wedding announcements
but also found that jack&jill had good prices as well.
flowers were provided by Skyline Flowers
we got my bouquet, one to toss, 6 bridesmaids bouquets, 9 boutineers, 6 corsages and flowers for the cake for around $200. The lady there really knows what she is doing and does beautiful work!
our cake came from http://mymixingmemories.blogspot.com/ it was so yummy and i gave her a picture and she was able to duplicate what i wanted.
we got ties for all the men from http://www.solidcolorneckties.com/Solid-Color-Ties-s/105.htm?gclid=CLPg5Oyp87QCFUxxQgodyV0AMQ
(they were about $5/tie)
we had our reception at wheeler farm which was reasonably priced and so much fun! it was easy to decorate and looked beautiful.
we both love cheesecake and candy so we decided to have a candy bar and a cheesecake bar. we got the cheesecakes from costco and the candy from winco. it was so fun and we got so many compliments from it.
we had my brother-in-law help us with the music. i made a wedding playlist and he had a PA system that he used to play our music from an ipod. free and i got exactly what i wanted.
we had the skirts made for the bridesmaids which was awesome because i got what i wanted for a good price, and the fit everyone perfect!
our centerpieces were all fairly simple and made from things we already had or could borrow from neighbors. i used cream table clothes and then had a burlap table runner to go along with the rustic/barn feel. i had three mason jars on each table, one had pearls inside with a picture of us on a wire, one had shredded purple paper and a candle on top, and the last one had peonies made from coffee filters. DIY instructions found here
everything turned out so beautifully and rustic which was what i was going for.
last, but certainly not least, we had a phenomenal photographer! anyone looking needs to seriously consider Chelsie! she was wonderful and so awesome to work with. she got all of the pictures i wanted and was fast and efficient to get it done. mike and i were both so pleased with all of our pictures. find her here: http://chelsieclarkephotography.blogspot.com/
i found it so hard to find a photographer for the price i was looking for and Chelsie was right in and under budget!
here are some of my favorites:
we truly had a perfect wedding day and are so thankful for everything that everyone did for us!
