DIY wooden tree chalkboard

I saw something like this on one of those boutique sites. I loved it and decided I had to have it! But I didn't want to spend $20 on something I knew I could make on my own. And it's so easy!

Materials needed:

Wooden tree cut out, found at michaels {I got mine for $6, you can always use a coupon and get it for 1/2 off!)

Chalkboard paint, found at michaels ($4)

Brush

Chalk

Paint two layers of chalkboard paint vertically and one layer horizontally. *let the paint sit for an hour in between layers and let the last layer sit for two hours before use.

That's it! The best part is now I can use it year round!
