Merry Christmas!!!! Christmas is finally here! It still doesn't feel like Christmas yet though. Disapointing. oh well. This has been a fun month! Especially once the semester got over...BIG sigh of relief! I am finally done at SLCC and on my way to the U. I passed Stats with an A-....I was THRILLED! I made it through and it feels perfectly great! So this month Mike and I went to the Zoo to see the zoo lights, we went to Gardner Village, celebrated the end of the semester by going out to lunch, and we were lucky to spend a lot of time together...which is always perfect. I was able to see Mike on Christmas Eve which was amazing; it's my favorite day of the year! He gave me some comfy Utes sweats amongst other things....I love them, they are so comfy!!! :)
I can't even begin to describe how nice it's been having a break from school, I was stressing myself out big time trying to get good grades so I could graduate. I'm glad it's over for a bit. I'm moving soon which is crazy! I hope it goes well. I'm excited to live closer to Mike. I'm so boring....I don't do anything except hang with him.
So what I really love about December is looking at the lights on people's houses, watching Christmas movies and eating lots of sweets. It's been a weekend for all of the above. I've watched so many Christmas movies...I love it! I've also listened to a lot of Christmas music. Mike and I even learned how to play a song together. I love this month! :) Anyway, time to enjoy Christmas!!!
Entries of my adventure to becoming my best self. The bumps in the road, the successes, & everything in between. Join me on my adventure!

I'm lovin this!
The semester is OVER!!!!! I'm overjoyed by this! No more Statistics! WHOOOOO! And Christmas is just over a week away! I'm so excited to just kick back and relax for a few weeks! I have plans to sleep in, scrapbook, finish my Christmas prrojects, play with Mike and go on adventures, and just simply not worry about homework or being on time to school. I'm also stoked, because I put my two weeks in at work, and I'm so happy to be done there soon!
So I've vistited Temple Square twice this month, and it has been so crowded! But really fun. I love looking at all the lights. On Saturday I went with Mike and Khemia and Jackson. I love going and doing those things with Mike! Date night is the best! I'm so lame, highlights of my life have become weekly date night and the fact that school is over.
I'm excited to enjoy all of the Christmassy things coming up, I'm glad I have time for it too! Time to look at lights, listen to Christmas music, play some of my own, have loads of hot chocolate, wrap presents, etc etc
SO EXCITED!!!!

CHRISTMAS TIME!!!!!!!!!!
It's CHRISTMAS time!!!!! I love the month of December! It just makes me so happy! The Christmas festivities have begun!
On Friday me and the kids made a gingerbread house and train. It was so much fun! I love decorating gingerbread houses and I'm super excited to make my own! I want it to turn out like the pro ones!
Saturday Mike and I went to the Festival of Trees which was so much fun! I haven't been in years! We saw some incredible gingerbread houses and a lot of fun trees! We decided someday we are going to make and
donate our own and then eventually buy one. We have our ideas and everything! It was fun being in the hustle and bustle with everyone. I love looking at the Christmas decorations and the little kids with all of their
crafts! :) I've enjoyed having the fire on and cuddling up watching movies. I've already watched Elf, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, and put the Christmas music in my car. I'll be more excited when the semester is
over and I can really focus on Christmas festivities! I'm so glad I have a great family and boyfriend who will go out and do holiday stuff with me!

Shopping All Night?
So on Thursday night we went shopping at midnight. We didn't get back until 6...it was SOOOO exhausting! We went to Old Navy, the mall, and Target. Target was definitely the worst. We had to sit in line forever! I felt so bad because I made Mike come with me and he didn't buy anything there so he just sat there in line practically falling asleep.
AHHH! Wednesday for date night we went and saw HARRY POTTER 7!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVED it! I'm so excited for the second part to come out...I have to wait until July! It was by far my favorite HP movie made so far! I want to go see it again!
Thursday we made cool turkey shirts, that was really fun.
So on a different note, I'm starting to stress about school. I have a week and a half and I'm done with SLCC. It's so exciting, but I'm so worried about passing my stats class. I have an A- right now, but if you don't pass the final, you fail the course. I'm so afraid I'm going to fail. Then I'll have to retake the class and I won't graduate this month. It's so much pressure! I've been trying to study, but it's like it's not sticking. I've got everything else in order and that's really helpful. I have a few things to finish up, but it's not too bad.
I'm really trying to just stay positive and do some fun things while studying so I don't go crazy. Tonight I'm going to the festival of trees and I'm way excited for that! Life is a little boring right now...but I'm excited for a break from school for a month where I can live it up for awhile.

Almost Thanksgiving!
I can't believe it's almost Thanksgiving already! Time is just flying by so quickly!
Last week was pretty dull unfortunetly. Mike and I went and heard Michael Dowdle perform for our date night. He was so amazing! He played a combination of his personal music with some Christmas music. It made me want to rush home and play the piano! Saturday it snowed like crazy while we were in the concert and Mike was wearing flip flops! So when it was time for him to leave, I raced out and made him a trail and then ushered him into his car while I removed the snow. It was FREEZING! Luckily, he made it home safely!
Also last week I got my schedule figured out for school! I'm really excited to be starting at the U! (assuming I pass stats! I'm pretty nervous for that!) I made a pretty big decision that day too; I'm moving out!...I'm going to go nanny Jaxson. I'm really excited for that! It will mean driving back and forth to Sandy 5 days a week, but I'll be closer to Mike, making a little more money, I'll be closer to school, and I'll get to be around my new nephew. All in all, it should be pretty exciting! :)
On Sunday, Mike's mom invited me to their house for dinner...and early Thanksgiving to be exact. It was delicious and really nice to be able to see Mike on a Sunday. I don't ever feel like I get enough time with him. I love his parents and it's fun spending time with them and their family.
And here we are...a few days prior to Thanksgiving. That means it's almost time to make pumpkin cheesecake, and stay up all hours of the night to go shopping with the thousands of other crazy people. One of my favorite traditions. It's so fun to get all bundled up in pjs, coats, scarves, and mittens to go listen to wonderful Christmas music with all of the hustle and bustle at the mall. Then the insanity hits going to other stores and waiting in their lines for 1 or 2 things. But it's tradition, so what can ya do?
Happy Thanksgiving!

The Happs!
Well.....Mike and Lisa's baby was born on Monday! So I'm officially an aunt! I'm so excited! They named him Jaxson and he is simply adorable! He has dark hair that is softer than imaginable! I'm so excited to be an aunt! He is going to be so spoiled!
The other big news is I got accepted into the U and start in January for the spring semester. I'm double majoring in Human Development/Family Studies and Sociology. I'm really excited! There are so many electives that look great that it's hard to only choose a couple, but I guess that's better than not being interested in anything, right?
Mike and I started having a date night once a week....last night we went to Cafe Rio. It was absolutely delicous! I'm excited to have some fun dates and spend more time with him.
Wellllll.....that's been my week.
And that is Jaxson David Pearson! :)

Halloween!!!
So Halloween was a ton of fun! In all reality, I didn't do a whole lot, but it's Halloween so it's fun in general!
This year Mike and I dressed up as Dora the Explorer and Diego! It was great!
Friday night we carved our pumpkins with my family. Mine was pretty pro this year considering I am not very artistic!
Saturday started off with my family going to Lisa and Mike's to help them set up their.........NURSERY!!! That's right, they're adopting THIS week! The baby is due on Thursday! We are so excited!!! So that was a lot of fun, now I know how to set up a crib and changing table!
After, we went to the ward trunk or treat. It was freezing! But fun! After, Mike and I watched The House on Haunted Hill with my parents (it's tradition) and after we watched Hocus Pocus! We had a great weekend!

So I officially suck at blogging! Maybe one day, right?
I've decided life flies by way too fast! I had all these plans for the month, and here it is, the last week in October and I haven't finished yet! Where are all of the leaves I wanted to jump into?? I had high hopes of making a huge life pile and jumping into it! Finally, I had decided there were enough leaves on the ground and what should happen? It snowed. Dear snow, you and I are not friends. We never will be friends. Go distrurb someone else and leave my car, house, streets I drive on, and me alone. Sincerely, Beth.
But seriously, Halloween is this week, and I'm so excited! I love dressing up for Halloween and eating candy!
I'm hoping to take even more pictures and add to the already awesome memories I've made this month. I'm also hoping November will move just as swiftly because I'm dying from Stats. Speaking of swiftly, Taylor's cd comes out TODAY! I'm so excited! Minor problem...I had it preorderded from her website, so now rather than having it since midnight, I have to wait until it's shipped. Big downer! I'm going crazy here waiting to listen to it and have every song memorized and embedded into my brain. Yes blogging world, I'm obsessed with Taylor Swift. I have been for what...4 years? Since the beginning.
That being said, I should stop procrastinating and get back to my homework. Here are some of my favorite pictures from the past couple weeks.

Stuff
So it's been a BUSY month! My family went to Charleston, South Carolina and Nashville, Tennessee. It was so much fun! Warm, humid, relaxing, and perfect! I got to go to the castle where Taylor Swift made her Love Story music video...that was SWEEEEET!!!!! We also looked at some Civil War areas, ate good food, went to the beach, etc. I love being in the South...in the East. Actually, I mostly just like a lot of places that aren't Utah. Maybe someday I'll move.
Well I got back, and it was WEDDING WEEK. On Monday, I started my summer semester of school. Tuesday we had a BAM date and Abby's Bachelorette gathering. Her and I went to see "Letters to Juliet" following dinner at the Red Iguana and then we went and decorated the boys' cars. While we were at Walmart getting supplies we saw two of our favorite people! Only they weren't super excited. We went to bed way late! On Wednesday, they had their family dinner. (good thing it didn't rain; we were all outside!) and Thursday was the BIG DAY! It was really nice! They were both so happy! The reception was beautiful! Everything was just perfect! Abby looked stunning! It's crazy to think they're married, but I'm so happy for them and know how well they will do together. They are such great people and don't have a bad thing to say about anyone. They are great examples to me.
After all that, I've been exhausted and it was wonderful to have a break today. I watched the Toy Stories and lounged in bed. It was heavenly. Mike has been wonderful and been so patient with me through everything. Summer is coming way too quickly. It's only a matter of days away and I'm not ready, but what can ya do. I simply hope it warms up soon.
Here are a couple of my favorite pictures from the past few weeks...

A little sad for SUMMER
So it's May. Officially. Life is such a blur; I can't seem to keep up. This whole year has passed by my eyes without me realizing it. I'm usually so happy about summer coming too fast, but this year I sorta wish it would come slower. Don't get me wrong, I'm SOO excited for the warm weather and the sun being present everyday, but I just like where my life is right now and I'm not sure where I'm going to be in September and it scares me a lot. I know it probably shouldn't, but where am I going to work, will I make enough money to pay my bills, will I get to do everything I want to do before December, and will I still get to see my best friend on a semi regular basis? And my nanny kids??? I'm going to miss them like crazy; more than I'm even letting myself think about. It's funny, everyone tells me the best birth control is watching kids all the time...for me, it's the opposite; I can't wait to be a mom! I love watching a child learn...especially from something I've taught them. I think this is why I enjoy teaching preschool so much. To see them talk about something I've taught them makes it so worth all the headaches and sometimes annoying/upsetting thoughts. That's another thing...am I still going to be working in a preschool in September?
On a positive note, I leave Utah in 5 days. Vacation couldn't come at a more perfect time...except for the fact that it's absolutely terrible timing with upcoming events! I just hope it's warm and not rainy while I'm there, that would make me grumpy! I'm very excited to go to the country music atmosphere and know all the bigs in that world started there. Also, I'm a huge Nicholas Sparks fan and to go where his movies are filmed makes me smile....the settings in them all are spectacular!
OHHH!!! I won 2 VIP tickets for the Living Planet Aquarium from the Scout o Rama!! That was exciting! Also at the Scout o Rama, I took my picture by a way cool Bumblebee look a like...Mustang style that is! Abby and I went on our annual sunrise walk this morning. It was absolutely perfect! My day was great right from the get go and on a Monday, who can ask for more? I'm glad I have a best friend who likes to do stuff like that too. It was fun just sitting up on the hill and seeing the sun come out while talking..we're pretty great at that. (expect pictures from that later on)
Anyway, that's a peak of life in my world.

Events
Life is silly! I went to the zoo with Mike! We had a great time! We saw all the cute little monkeys, the mountain goats, giraffes, the BABY ELEPHANT!, and my favorite the cute, red panda! I also went to the aquarium which was a blast..their new penguins are super cute! I get to leave on my trip in less than 2 weeks!!!! I'm so excited! Mostly to see the castle from the Love Story music video; it'll be awesome! Nashville here I come!! Let's see, this past week I house sat for one of the families I nanny...it kinda got lonely and boring and too much work, safe to say, I'm very glad to be back at home and sleeping in my own bed!
I gave Abby her scrapbook of her and Matt...I think she liked it! (I'm glad) It was sorta awkward though because Kay Lynn read it and saw where I wrote about my favorite memory with them...heart attacking a couple people...it was AWKWARD! And also she was introducing me to all of Matt's sisters-in-law which I've met on MULTIPLE occassions...I was like yeah, hi...good to see you again...haha. oh silly. I'm excited because I thought of a couple ideas for what I'm going to give her for her wed. shower...depending on the cost that is.
School is over for the semester on Sat...well that's when my final is. However, I start back up for the summer on the 17th. Stupid math.....Oh well. Hopefully I will be done with my Associates (yes, it's taken THIS long) after fall semester which will be really nice! I'm not so excited for the summer which is breaking my heart, but oh well. I hope it turns out to be a good one anyway. I'm sad I won't be able to see Mike everyday since I won't be at camp all the time anymore. I hope I don't get burned out from my other job, but I think I will. I'm really not excited for it and should never have told my boss I would do it. Not much I can do now. I guess it will be nice to get a pay check more than twice though so no complaints.
I seriously can't believe it's nearly May! I'm not ready for the school year to be over! I have no idea what I'm going to do starting in Sept. but need to figure something out! I really want to go and teach English somewhere, but I'm having a hard time figuring out where to look to do it. I think it would be such an amazing experience! Maybe I'll be able to figure it out before December! *cross your fingers! I would probably miss people and such here, but when else would I have an opportunity like that? If I can find a way to do it, I'm definitely going to! I'm going to get myself a passport coming up pretty soon so I can be a world traveler...at least know I'm allowed to leave the country. haha. anyway, here are some zoo pics!

April Already?
I can't even believe it's april already! I leave for Nashville in one month!!! And Matt and Abby are getting married super soon too! It's so extremely intense! Well lets see...the goings on in my life are crazy! I'm trying to stay caught up with school, remain a fun nanny, not kill myself over preschool, put together a present for the married couple to be, and remain alive with some kind of social life. Unfortunately I don't think the crazy is going to die down anytime soon. I decided I'm going to take at least one class during the summer, so I won't really get much of a break until next fall semester is over. :( Well one good thing that's happened lately is Mike and I went and saw The Last Song- it was soooo amazing! Or so I thought at least. (it even made Mike cry) Other than that, life has been moving insanely fast; before I know it June will be here! I'm not quite ready for that yet...I need to find a job for the fall! eek!
upcoming events: the ZOO on Saturday! I can't wait! And some bridal showers for the bff

Snowboarding
So I went snowboarding for the very first time in 21 years of Utah living on Saturday up at Park City. Can I just say I was deathly sore for about 4 days after.... Mike tried to teach me to go down the hill one way, and was unsuccessful. Turns out I'm goofy and needed to go down with my right foot first. That was much better! Except he told me to dig in with my heels, which I did, but them I fell and hit my head and I was done after that. We went to the lodge and relaxed and watched the snow fall. We had a great time, and I'm pretty sure Mike enjoyed watching me fall. Even though I'm definitely not a winter person, and I don't enjoy hurdling quickly down a mountain, I'm excited to try the boarding thing again! I'm determined to get good at it!

Weekend Adventures!
Mike and I went and saw Alice in Wonderland over the weekend! I loved it! We went with our friends Matt, Abby, and ETR. Double date + 1! haha. Before the movie, we went to dinner at Noodles with Matt and Abby; delicious! Anyway, back to the movie: I am a huge Disney, Tim Burton, Johnny Depp, and Helena Bonham Carter fan, so I knew I was bound to love this movie- however, I loved it much more than I expected! It was fun and brought a new spin to the loveable Alice story. I regret to say the only part about the movie I didn't like as much was Johnny Depp. Don't get me wrong, he is my favorite actor, but I didn't feel like he brought anything new to the character. To me, he was a mix of Willy Wonka and Jack Sparrow. I didn't feel like he was the Mad Hatter-if that makes sense. All in all though, I enjoyed the movie (oh and we even saw it in 3d...lots of fun!)
After the movie, Abby, Matt, and I did our secret project that I like to call, "secrets". It consisted of delivering secret goodies to those of whom cannot be named. Sadly they weren't home so we didn't get to have the satisfaction of knowing they were home. But hey, what can ya do? I've really enjoyed this secret business of ours because 1) I love doing service and such kind acts for people. (especially when I know they don't like me...haha) and 2) it's been fun to know I get to hang out with 2 of my best friends at least once a week. We have been having a lot of fun with this the past few weeks.
My last weekend adventure (that I would actually care to remember), was I made cheesecake for my family on Sunday! I was a little nervous because I made the recipe up in my head! Don't worry, it turned out pretty darn good if I may say so myself. I'm still trying to decide what I am going to tackle next....brownie cheesecake? Or maybe something completely different...we'll see!

big hats and taylor raps

So....we dressed up like gangstas and rapped along with T Swizzy (Taylor Swift) and T-Pain. We had a ton of fun making our Big A Chain and rapping along. We think we're so cool!
