Can I complain for just a minute? Of course I can, this is my blog. Mike is so busy. And I mean so busy! He works two different jobs at his gym, is still working for RISE, has an internship doing research at the U, is taking a math class, and is training at his gym. I'm amazed we ever find time to see each other. It's hard. It sucks and I hate it. I hope it will all be worth it. I appreciate his hard work so much, but sometimes I wish I could tell him to blow it off to spend more time with me instead. I have never been so excited for fall (hopefully things will settle down for him then)
The good news is we have a couple of things to look forward to this summer. Next month, we are going to go to MOAB! I have only been once and this time we will be hiking to the Delicate Arch, which I couldn't be more excited for since I've never done that before! Mike is so excited because he is planning the whole thing. He gets to show me around a place that he absolutely loves. I'm excited too! It means 2 1/2 days together without work getting in the way.
The second thing we have to look forward to, is we are going to California for my cousin's wedding in August! I'm so excited to go to the beach together, build sandcastles, splash in the waves, and again, spend a few days together away from work and school. I'm glad we can have things to look forward to, it helps make the hard times all the more worth it.
OH. and I made my summer list....
swimming
go to the water hole
visit a lemonade stand
go to a drive-in movie
hike cecret lake (mueller park hike as well)
watch the meteor shower
go to liberty park/ride the ferris wheel
go to the beach/build a sandcastle
go to the farmer's market
learn/attempt to learn how to longboard
make homemade guacamole
go to moab and hike the delicate arch
Any other ideas for me? I love suggestions, I'm sure there are plenty other fun summer traditions I'm missing.
I hope all of you have a wonderful, safe summer! Make sure to take advantage of all the time you have in the warm sun before fall runs around! This is my favorite time of the year and I will take advantage of it, hope you do too! :)
