A runner's playlist

I'm so happy that it's warm outside and lighter longer! I can finally run again and I'm feeling so good! Each week I improve, I'm more excited for the next long run!

I love the feel of pushing myself to the next level. I love the fresh air and sunshine beating down on my back. I love the freedom, seeing places with a new perspective, falling in love with the place I live. I love coming home and telling my husband how far I went because he's always so proud of me. I love the sore muscles the next day because they mean I worked hard. I love the runner's high. I love the camaraderie runners have. I love that it's just me and the pavement. And I love the time I get to listen to some of my favorite songs.

I've been thinking a lot about how music affects my running. I've been trying to come up with the perfect playlist for myself. Today I enjoyed every song that came on during my run. Not all of them pushed me to go harder or faster, but each one made me so happy to be alive.

Here are some of my favorites from today's run:

Make the money- Macklemore and Ryan Lewis
Catching cold- Andrew McMahon
Change- Taylor Swift
Dark blue- Jack's Mannequin
Demons- Imagine Dragons
Ocean avenue- Yellowcard
Say you like me- We The Kings
Synesthesia- Andrew McMahon
We owed the night- Lady Antebellum
What makes you beautiful- One Direction
Can't hold us- Macklemore and Ryan Lewis
Good time- Carly Rae Jepsen
Punk rock princess- Something Corporate
Ten thousand hours- Macklemore and Ryan Lewis

What music do you like to run to?
